Cloud Based POS App for Corporate Dining Room
Introduction
This is not just another POS app on the market. SOOP is designed to allow corporations and even small size companies to digitalize their food courts and dining rooms. Clean and bright design makes this app intuitive and usable for non-tech people such as cashiers and even cooks in the kitchen.
SOOP is one of the few cloud based POS apps on the market that is intended for corporate dining.

Challenge
Corporate food courts often become too crowded because employees come together to have a lunch. The main challenge was to find the right interface layout to speed up food service and payment. Client also wanted to make things as simple as possible without loosing any required buttons and functions on the main screen. It was also a tough challenge to conduct market research to find possible competition for this kind of project.
Beginning
The foundation of this project was built with UX research and thorough conversations. This allowed us to determine a style direction that matched up with the goals of the client turning it into simple yet beautiful design.
After conducting detailed user research, I was able to understand avarage user model and their needs, which led us to our final visualization of mockups and app design.
Fonts and Colors
We chose geometric, sans-serif typefaces to fit in with the style direction. From four typefaces that matched the style and DF services brand values we landed on Inter for its versatility and approachable yet serious look. Paired with a comprehensive but balanced color palette the typeface would form the base for the new app.
FInal Product
After weeks and months of hard work, I was able to finally delivery fully responsive design for all kinds of tablet sizes with working prototypes for client’s corporate presentation and further development of this app.
After getting approved by product manager, the app was given to a dev team for making this app become a real product. I worked with their team for about 3 months and helped them understand the delivered files and screens. Currently SOOP is on its way for a beta release.
